Good afternoon,
Our Daily Miles took us to Italy this week. Again we took the opportunity to develop our Technologies skills and our awareness of the world by researching Italy. We were relieved to learn that rather than snails, the Italians enjoy dishes of pizza and pasta!  Its boot shape made us giggle but also made us realise that this unique shape made it easy to locate on a world map. We were also fascinated by the Leaning Tower of Pisa and how the South side shrunk as it was built to create the extraordinary `lean’. Our next Daily Mile Destination is Russia and we are already looking forward to arriving there and finding out about this country.
One of our other highlights this week was welcoming the Dunfermline Press photographer to school and we are excited to see our class photograph in the newspaper soon!
Jeans for Genes Day took place today and raised our awareness of the needs of others and how we can help. We also celebrated the win of Eilidh Swinburne who won the Design a pair of Jeans Competition for P1 with her very colourful and creative entry. Congratulations Eilidh!
Have a lovely weekend and I look forward to speaking to many of you next week during parent contact.

Mrs.Davie and P1a.
