Primary 1, Weekly update

Happy New Year everyone and welcome to our third term of Primary 1.
We started the New Year by looking at our new classroom calendars and recording up and coming events including the Scottish Poetry Competition to be judged by the class teachers, Mrs.Howie and Mrs.MacIntosh on Thursday 23rd January. Each month the children will be given their own calendar page to take home.To give them more practise please encourage them to add important family appointments/events.It will be of further benefit if they could also practise reciting the months of the year with you at home.
The children are excited to be learning to recite their Scottish poem. We have practiced this as a whole class and will continue to practice daily. We hope you have fun practicing with your child at home. Some of the children are already adding very amusing little actions to accompany their recital.
