In Writing, children have entered the Young Writers competition – Ridiculous Writers. They had to combine a random adjective and noun together and come up with a ridiculous story about it, all in 100 words. The children showed great creativity.
For our WW2 topic this week, we looked at the role of women throughout the war and the incredible job they did. The children also completed a range of word searches and crosswords that some pupils created for their homework.
We are reading through Goodnight Mister Tom, our class novel, at a good pace. Lots of interesting discussions about the underlying themes in this book.
Today has been a super day with all our Sport Relief activities. It was great to see the children dressed up in their sports gear. We participated in a PE lesson, designed by P6 and took part in the Sport Relief quiz.
Well done to our pupils who represented Canmore at the football tournament on Thursday night.
Good luck to our children who are out at representing Canmore at today’s STEM event at Dundee Science Centre. They have worked very hard and showed great enthusiasm.
