We had a special visit from Dunfermline Athletic FC this week. The children were involved in a ‘Pars Tackle Health’ workshop. P7b started the workshop with a football session, with various stations set up. They then got the chance to hear the Pars captain talk about his average week as a footballer, focusing on what keeps him healthy; diet, sleep, exercise, growth mind-set. The children then got the chance to ask any questions they had. The children were fantastic throughout the session, and listened very well to the adults who were leading the workshop.
As it was Remembrance Day this week, we read a book called ‘The Poppy Story’ and created a piece of art work linked to this.
We have started planning for the Christmas Fayre. We now have a name, logo and slogan for our class company and a range of ideas for the crafts we will be making and selling.
Finally, what a fantastic day Thursday was! The children were so enthusiastic to participate in the Children in Need activities and the JLT were an incredible help throughout the day. Videos and pictures are on our Seesaw bog.
I hope you all enjoyed the long weekend, Mrs Forrest.
