The buzz around class this week has been wonderful. It started off as quite a quiet day on Tuesday as the recovery from Ardroy last week was still evident in some. We shared our experiences and looked at all our photos once more – what a week it was last week. Those that were in class last week loved hearing all about it and those that went to Ardroy caught up on all the news from Canmore from those that were here last week too.

In literacy, we have focused on recounting our news from last week. Everyone had so much to write about! As we have lots more exciting events coming up over the next several weeks we will continue to do more of this style of written work.

The highlight of the week has to have been on Wednesday when we connected with NASA at the Challenger Centre in Maine, USA to undertake the challenge Destination Moon. The class were wonderful and the engagement and concentration was just brilliant to see. Everyone that took part were absolutely captured by the excitement and at one point it looked and sounded just like something you would see in the cinema as children gave Mission Control a thumbs up and said ‘engines are a go, Command!’. This experience was a first for any school in Scotland and we are so proud of the whole of the P7 cohort at Canmore for being that school.

Congratulations to Freddie Lowe who is this week’s social target winner.

I hope that you all have a wonderful long weekend and I will catch-up with you all again next Friday.
Mr. Morgan.
