It’s 2023 and Term 3 has now officially started!

I hope that you all had an enjoyable and relaxing break and that everyone is ready for Term 3 which is always a very busy and hard-working term, jam packed full of learning – lots to look forward to.

Despite this week being very short, we have still managed to squeeze in some great learning. We started off our week yesterday looking forward to the term ahead and thinking of some New Year resolutions. Our resolutions were education focused and S.M.A.R.T.  These have started to go up on display in class and we will reflect on these at the end of term to see what we have achieved.

In Project, we looked at the role of the Anderson shelter during WWII in keeping people safe and had a go at making our own mini-model. Our STEM learning this week had a CSI theme as we investigated who stole my baby Yoda and kept it hostage! As well as being a fun activity it helped us pay attention to detail and think logically. Please ask your child all about their learning.

Our PE days for this term will be Wednesday and Thursday. Initially we will be continuing to learn Scottish Country Dancing as a whole P7 cohort ahead of the Scottish Country Dance Festival which will take place at the end of the month.

Please can you ensure that your child comes to school with a spare change of footwear in their bag suitable for wearing in the gym hall. As our weather continues to be wet and cold it is vital that children have a clean pair of shoes that they can wear which will not bring mud or grit into school. Thank you for your support in this matter.

I hope that you all have a super weekend and I will catch-up with you again next Friday.

Mr. Morgan.
