This term has been very exciting! We’ve had lots on. P7 were absolutely fantastic at the Music, Scottish Country Dancing and Creative Dance Festivals. They should be very proud of themselves. We’ve also attended a number of STEM activities, had a ‘Pars Tackle Health’ afternoon, and we had a great time at Edinburgh Zoo.
Term 3 has been a term of competitions! We’ve entered BBC 500 words, design a National Book Token, John Byrne drawing competition, The Incredible Diary of..., Spooky Sagas and Inspiring Purpose writing competitions, creating a new design for the Nurture Base (well done to the winner - Emily Gillespie) and Interview Room (well done to the winner – Arran McBride) and finally, Young Writer and Photographer competitions.
The children really enjoyed the visit from Homefront Histories at the beginning of this term and this seems to have captured their attention and they been engaged and enthusiastic throughout our WW2 topic. Our class novel, Goodnight Mister Tom, has gripped the children and we will finish the term by watching the movie – which we are all excited about.
We have started rehearsing for our show and have made a start to the yearbook – just an insight into what next term has to bring.
Have a fantastic Easter break and we look forward to our fourth and final term at Canmore.
