This week our pupils have focused on improving their persuasive writing skills. Pupils brainstormed arguments for and against wearing school uniform. They have evaluated and organised their ideas and will be taught some persuasive techniques to include in their letters next week. In our maths we explored estimating and measuring lengths accurately. This was a lot of fun - please ask your child about their learning.

Our new class novel is Goodnight Mr Tom. Pupils will read as a whole class, completed reading within smaller guided reading groups, and work individually on tasks linked to the book. We also welcome pupils to bring in a book of their choice for personal reading times on Monday to keep in class. This will also be available to them during wet break/lunch times.

Pupils have been asking to play chess. Could we please have donations of any chess kits for the term... I can feel a tournament coming on !!!

Congratulations to our social target winner Leighton Parrish.

Well done to Ishbel Smithson who has been appointed as the class Rights Respecting School Representative.  You will hear a lot soon from your child as we work towards the national award.

Next week our pupils will begin preparing their enterprise stall for the school Christmas Fair. Please may you collect and dry out pine cones to help them with their Eco Friendly creations.

Enjoy the weekend, Mrs Watt & P7A
