Welcome back everyone to P7A's final term at Canmore Primary School.
The excitement and buzz filled the halls and all the sunshine really helped create a fantastic first week back for the pupils.

Lots of research on John Muir has been undertaken by the pupils this week ahead of their visit to Ardroy next week as part of their John Muir Award Programme.  Pupils have created powerpoints and posters packed with facts and learned a lot about John's perspective and viewpoint on Wild Spaces.

In maths the pupils have continued to explore algebra with everyone learning about collecting terms, and some pupils  exploring solving equations.

We investigated the observance of Ramadan in RME this week and pupils worked together to create Eid cards that we will pop into the Dunfermline Mosque.

Congratulations to Mirren Martin our social target winner this week.

We are all looking forward to Ardroy next week - please remember to label your items and be at the school for 845 as usual with a planned departure of 9am. Pupils are reminded to bring a waterbottle for on the bus and a snack in their pocket (or small bag) to eat when we stop along the route for toilets &  to stretch our legs. We will miss those who will remain in school next week and look forward to catching up with their news upon our return.

We are delighted to announce that we have a confirmed date for the Virtual Mission with the Challenger Centre Maine USA. This will be on Weds 3rd May - this event is a virtual escape room experience for both classes and is part of their Grand Prize in the Air Race Challenge. More info here Destination Moon - Challenger Center

We also wish to invite all pupils to bring a packed lunch to eat in class on Friday 5th May as we will celebrate ahead of King Charles III coronation on Saturday 6th May with an afternoon tea type event in the classroom. Pupils are asked to bring in treats/cake stands/ bunting to decorate the room as we mark this moment in history together.

We really have a fun packed Term ahead of us!
