The main highlight for our pupils this week included visits to their destination High Schools. The days flew past and the weather was kind as the children participated in a range of transition experiences to help them prepare for becoming the new S1 cohort in August.

I visited Dunfermline High on Thursday to meet with faculty and received a quick tour of the building and saw lots of happy faces and confident children walking between classes - they are all growing up so fast!

Another highlight this week was the cohort's chance to join the audience with the whole school to watch the P3/4 pupils perform the dress rehearsal of their Egyptian Topic themed creative dance. Simply wonderful! It hit home to the P7s that their own show is fast approaching - please support your child with their lines and any costume requirements. The dress rehearsal (p1-6 pupils only) is Monday 26th AM. The main performance is on Tuesday 27th June 6pm - and we hope to see you there! There will be tickets home with pupils next week.  A reminder there is a cash raffle on the night and some light refreshments on offer too - it will be a night to remember!

Next week we look forward to a visit from Mr Grew from HSBC who is coming in on Monday morning to deliver a class financial awareness talk and on Wednesday afternoon pupils will take part in an online event called 'We are Aff to the big School'. Of course, a major highlight to come is the P7 Prom which is next Friday night - an exciting time ahead!

A wee reminder that Personal Projects are now due in ready for the Careers Showcase to the younger pupils on Tuesday.  Pupils have put a massive amount of effort into their boards - I'm so proud of them!

Congratulations to Ashton Butterworth our social target winner this week.

Here's hoping the sunshine lasts throughout the weekend and we can all enjoy time with our families.
