It always amazes me how much can be achieved in a short week!
The highlights this week included map work with the pupils where we have been exploring different types of maps and interpreting the information on them using a Key.  Pupils have learned a lot from the practical activities including a better awareness of the Scottish landscape - mountains and rivers.

In our writing we have focused on free writing using  a comic style approach. I think it surprised the class how much effort it takes to make a comic and designing super hero characters has also been a lot of fun.

Sports Day - the pupils all seemed to really enjoy the potted sports and the competitive races on Thursday. There were lots of happy faces especially during the potato and spoon race and I felt proud of the class as they cheered the younger pupils on.

Some information has been shared about the arrangements to attend High School as part of transition days next week so please speak to your child about this.

Congratulations to Morgan McKay our social target winner this week.

Wishing you all a happy weekend with your families.
