P7s embraced the Scot's theme of the week with an exceptionally high standard of Poetry recitals. Congratulations to the whole class as everyone performed in class brilliantly. I felt really proud of all of the children, especially those who a fortnight ago had made clear this type of activity was an absolute no-no for them. A shining example of pupils demonstrating their Growth Mindset.

The cohort danced happily at the Scottish Country Dancing Festival - please look on SEESAW for photos.  Thank you to the parent helpers who gave their time to ensure the pupils could attend this event.

In our STEM lessons our pupils have begun a Climate v Code challenge set by the SCDI & Young Engineers. 6 pupils will be selected to present their project at the Dundee Science Centre at the end of March. Pupils will work on their projects over the next 6 weeks. Good luck everyone!

In our number work we have explored fractions and the link with percentages and decimals.

In topic we have been learning about the Holocaust and observing Holocaust Memorial day with a special episode of Newsround. Your child may have questions tonight please ask them how they are feeling about their learning. Next week we will be making model Spitifires as we explore key battles in WW2.

The Term 3 homework grid is now available on SEESAW. There are a variety of optional add on tasks. Mandatory pupil homework remains a spelling task and number task each week - set via Activities - on SEESAW. Please support your child with their homework.

Next week we are delighted to be performing at the Fife Music Festival. We still have a few spaces on the bus so if you wish to help on the day please get in touch. Leaving at 1055 and returning by lunch.

We are also very excited to welcome the Pars Foundation Education team and pupils will participate in a whole afternoon of health and wellbeing football themed activities and maybe get a few autographs too!

Lots to look forward to!
Enjoy your weekend
