P7a Update

A massive congratulations to our P7 Pupils who attended the STEM event at Dundee Science Centre.  Winning 2 prizes - the Electric Lorry Challenge and the best participiants on the day.
Well done to our pupils and thank you to Mrs Smithson, Mr Ritchie and Mrs MacKintosh for organising.

Our pupils have all worked hard creating their special Portraits and Poetry pieces and these are home with them  accompanied by some beautiful flowers - thank you to Karen@Rosyth Hub for helping with this.

In their number work pupils have been learning about measuring angles and triangle properties and angle turns.

In health we examined food labels and discussed how to be healthy by burning off some of the calories we eat.  PE Basketball = sweat!

ICT has been a major focus this week as following the announcement schools to close for the short term.  They have study ladder and Sumdog set up to use and have prepared well for the next two weeks.

We have finished Goodnight Mr Tom and pupils have home with them on loan The Clockwork Sparrow - our next class novel - an upbeat mystery to solve!

Our Social Target to make positive choices has been achieved by everyone this week and we have focused on positive thinking for the days ahead.

I am so proud of the P7 cohort today as they auditioned for the school show - fantastic performances all round - lots to practise over the next few weeks!

Today the children have had a day full of laughter and fun.  They have their home learning packs with suggested learning activities to complete over the next two weeks.  We know its uncertain times but we hope to keep in touch daily on SEESAW and look forward to see how the pupils are using their time.  Please encourage your child to read for pleasure, play board games, bake, cook, write! exercise and relax.

Hope to see you after the Easter holidays
Stay safe and Well
Mrs Watt.
