P7a sang their hearts out at the Fife Music Festival and the audience were all dancing in their seats to their rendition of the Beatles Hits Ob la Di! The pupils looked so grown up  - immaculate in their white shirts and school ties. Well done P7!

A big THANK YOU to the parents who came and helped on the day - without the volunteers trips like these can't happen - so your time is really appreciated!

The Rotary Young Photographer Competition is an annual event that P7 participate in and this week the pupils have been outside taking pictures to the theme of "Through My Eyes". Five entries from each of the P7 classes will go forward to the local heat.  I think all the pupil photographs have been stunning and you can view your own child's work in their SEESAW folder.

SEESAW continues to be used in school for sharing pupil work.  As explained previously permission slips are a local authority requirement to allow us to link up with parents.  Please ensure your permission slip is back with the school.  All pupils have the family invite in their homework packs if you require this too as we will use the blog feature less and pupils will have more work in their private folder.

Our writing this week has focused on Scots language and pupils have created their own funny verses,

Our maths we have really progressed our skills in short division and long division for some and moving onto fractions, equivalences, simplification and percentages next week.

Homework has been issued and all pupils have been set the task to complete a WW2 crossword as well as a chosen piece of homework from the term 3 Grid. Studyladder also has new challenges set.

Next week we have special visitors from the NSPCC meeting with the children on Tuesday and on Thursday a taster Badminton session so please remember indoor kit. We hope to attend the creative dance festival at DHS in February and have begun to put a routine together. Any talented parents who wish to help with this please contact me :)

P7 continue to work towards the school values and this week our social target is to look after the school environment demonstrating responsibility and respect.

Enjoy your weekend
See you Monday
