Well done P7a for a great week of learning!

The highlight on Monday was the P7a christmas party and it is almost hard to believe it is the last christmas party the children will have at Canmore Primary School - a lovely time had by all - especially the hat and scarf game where the children had to try and be first to finish eating a treat using fork and knife!

In our number work we have seen super progress on long multiplication this week and pupils have extra reinforcement tasks home with them (please do a couple sums over the weekend). We will be focusing on strategies for division next week.

Our recounts of Ardroy are detailed and pupils have completed powerpoints on John Muir to support the SHARE part of the award.

Please talk to your child about their reading progress. We have focused on analysing and evaluating Michael Morpurgo's Coming Home and the work produced in class show the children really engaged with the story.  We are continuing to read War Horse and if you wish to read along we are on chapter 15.

Pupils have the last homework of the year which includes spelling words, sums, a STEM challenge and a letter informing you how to link up to the P7a SEESAW and pupil personal folders.

We have a special visit from a STEM ambassador on Tuesday arranged through Katie Moffat who is the youngest Scottish Motor Rally Marshall. Katie has arranged for an emergency vehicle to attend the school and her classmates to receive a tour from Jon Bolton a local STEM ambassador.

The last day of term is going to be here in no time!
Have a fantastic weekend and I look forward to finishing the year with my incredible class.
