What a wonderful week!

We started off with amazing energy practising our football skills with the team from the Pars Foundation and finished off with a Pudsey Dance-a-thon!

The incredibly fun Children in Need Fundraiser had an important message and P7a looked at a part of the support offered to homeless children in the UK (and their families) as part of their day writing a short essay answering the question, 'Is there an excuse for homeless children in the UK?' Lots of very thoughtful responses!

On a lighter note, they also designed their own Pudsey - and took the Children in Need quiz - Did you know he was originally brown?

Subtraction extra practise sheets are in the homework jotters today - I have seen all pupils make significant progress working with regrouping/exchanging (sometimes called borrowing) from the column to the left. The subtraction crossword puzzle has been explained and should be a fun challenge.

Our Literacy finished our 'engaging the reader' outcomes and pupils added personification to their writing this week. Next week we will be focusing on Diary writing and research into John Muir ahead of the residential trip to Ardroy.

Pupils have shown me their skills in dancing the Gay Gordons and The Canadian Barn Dance both to the traditional ceilidh music and to the hits from the Greatest Showman.  Pupils are energetic, smiling and co-ordinated! What a great time to be their teacher.

Our Christmas Fayre Enterprise has begun and all support is welcome.

Enjoy the long weekend.
