P7a are delighted to share their science progress this week with pupils investigating saturation and crystal growing experiments.  The school is participating in a STEM challenge at cluster level and everyone has been involved growing crystals (some more successful than others!)

P7a have been out in the playgroud for drama and RME and we are excited and happy with the latest playground improvements.   The splash of colour has arrived in time for spring.

Pupils are keen to share how much they have progressed with decimal multiplication and the whole class agree with most children now saying 'they love maths!' We are now focusing on scale and ratio and will be drawing and creating replica spitfire and aircraft linked to our WW2 topic.

We have begun a times table focus with the aim of all pupils improving their accuracy and speed of recall of all their times tables by Easter or shortly after.  This is a good site for speedy recall.

We watch Newsround every day after break and have been improving our summarisation skills in news paper articles.  Leading up to World Book Day tomorrow we have been writing biographies of our favourite authors so please bring some of your favourite books in on Thursday.

Finally our topic on WW2 continues with class cookery, sewing and building tasks.  Please bring junk for an anderson shelter building group competition.

Many pupils had forgotten their PE kits when the PARS foundation were in this week.   A wee reminder could all pupils please have suitable indoor and outdoor kit available every day and if possible, a spare plastic bag for wet clothing/muddy shoes.

Auditions have been held for the P7 Show Dazzle!
Such an incredible range of talent across the cohort!

Parents evening appointments are available via the online system - I look forward to meeting you - Mrs Watt
