The highlight of the week for many was the STEM workshops with the Royal Navy. Pupils were split into groups to complete 3 challenges using what looked to me like giant meccano. Lots and lots of learning, laughter and fun! - Please ask your child about their experience.

This week we were also joined by the team from Barnardos who shared information with pupils on substances. The input helped pupils understand more about legal and illegal substances and how to protect themselves from them.

In Maths, we have continued with multiplication sums and everyone is feeling more confident about these. Please continue to practice times tables regularly at home.  We will begin work on division next week.

In our Writing, pupils were focusing on the presentation of their handwriting. We hope to have all pupils using neat joined script by the end of the term.

Congratulations to Harry Dickson our social target winner this week he always helps his friends and contributes positively in school.

A week packed with learning finished with the Jeans for Genes awarenss day organised by P4. A massive well done to the younger pupils for co-ordinating the campaign.

Next week on Wednesday afternoon we will be learning about Terracotta warriors and making our own model warriors using clay.  Pupils are asked to bring an old tshirt to wear to protect their clothes.  We also look forward to the 'Class Breakfasts' on Friday. This is being organised by the P6s as an alternative to the MacMillan Coffee Morning suggested donation 50p.

As we draw closer to the end of term we are looking to have a little classroom fun ourselves and pupils are invited to wear their Jammies for Gym on Tuesday (PE clothes also OK), Your child has really impressed me with their efforts with their learning and I am up for a bit of fun.

We also hope to watch a Disney Movie called Mulan in the last week of term and pupils are welcome to bring in a small snack to eat in the classroom for the showing.

Please look out for your child's Cauliflower Cards Christmas Card order pack coming home in their bags on Monday. Each child's pack has a unique order code (beside school code top right corner.) should you wish to order all the details are provided. Artwork to be returned to school office as soon as possible. Thank you.

We ended the week on a high with the incredible end-of-Summer fete. A massive thank you to our PTA for organising it was SO lovely to see Canmore families enjoying time together. Im extremely proud of our P7 helpers - well done !

Have a lovely weekend,
Mrs Watt & P7A
