I can’t believe we have reached the end of term already! P7 have had another fantastic week.

We have continued to focus on the theme of ‘hope’ throughout this week. In writing, children completed an imaginative piece, where they were given an imaginary unlimited budget, and were to imagine all COVID restrictions were lifted, they could choose to do and go wherever they wanted. Some amazing, creative and exciting pieces of writing!

In maths, we have finished our measurement topic. Children completed an end of topic assessment to finish off the topic and they showed great progress. We will be moving onto fractions, decimals and percentages after the holidays.

In reading, we have continued to read our class novel, Goodnight Mister Tom. The children have been engaged throughout this and have been involved in some interesting and thought-provoking discussions.

We have started practising our P7 show, which has been great! The script and lyrics will be uploaded to Seesaw. If children want, they can practise their lines over the holidays. We will continue rehearsals when children return for Term 4.

We had a wonderful morning today. We started with an Easter egg hunt then we finished watching War Horse with ‘blackouts’ up around the classroom and snacks all round.

I hope you all have a lovely, relaxing Easter break and I look forward to an exciting Term 4 ahead.

Mrs Forrest 😊
