A jam-packed week for P7!
Firstly, it was so lovely to meet so many of you, albeit virtually, at Parent Contact on Wednesday. All seemed to go well with very few technical glitches :)
P7 have had a number of very exciting events this week. On Tuesday, we had a virtual visit from Barnardo’s Charity; where they discussed substance misuse. The children were absolutely excellent; engaged throughout, answering questions and involved in discussions.
In Maths, we have moved onto division and this week we focused on mental strategies. The children approached this with a very positive mindset.
In Reading, we started our new class novel, War Horse. The children have shown an interest towards the topic of WW1 and have been engaged while reading the novel.
In Art, P7 completed some Autumn art work, using leaves, sponges and paint. Some really beautiful creations which will be uploaded to Seesaw next week.
On Thursday it was Children in Need Day in school and we had a lovely day; with all activities themed around Children in Need. P7 completed a comprehension exercise; where they were learning more about the history of Children in Need. They then were tested on their addition, subtraction, multiplication and division skills by completing a Children in Need Numeracy task. Finally, in Art, the children were to design a new outfit for Pudsey. Some very comical ideas!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend,
Mrs Forrest :)
