This week in class we were in full-on Christmas craft mode as we created and prepared our products for sale at the Christmas Fayre today.

Our main product was our ‘Good Luck Gonk’ which we lovingly created and painted ready for sale. Each one is completely unique and hand-made from clay. It has been super having all these quirky little characters around our classroom this week. I hope that you managed to get your one today from our stall.

The children have used their Gonks to help improve their persuasive writing skills and I hope that you enjoyed seeing some of the advertisements for them on Seesaw earlier in the week. They have learned about how to use rhetorical questions, the rule of three, alliteration and have started to use exaggeration to convince you to buy their products - after all, why would you not want one? They are such curious, cuddly, and cute little creature that will absolutely change your life for the better and make your luck 100% better – no, a 1000% better!

In preparation for our class party, which will be next week on Thursday afternoon the 14th of December, we have started to learn some Scottish Country dances. This week we started with the Canadian Barn Dance and the Gay Gordons. We will learn more throughout the rest of term and into term 3 – get your children up on the dancefloor if you go to any Christmas parties or New year Ceilidhs, they are quick learners and had a great time learning the dances.

I will catch-up with you all again next week at the end of what will be our last full week of term 2. The Christmas holidays are coming so quickly!

I hope that you all have a super weekend.
Mr. Morgan.
