It has been another busy week in P7.

In literacy this week, we have been looking at the use of elements of grammar such as punctuation and apostrophes. We have also been doing some comprehension work on our class novel, Kensuke's Kingdom, which we finished this week. The book has been made into an animated film due for release in February of 2024 and we look forward to seeing it then. Pupils have been working very hard on their literacy tasks.

In numeracy, we have been continuing and working hard on our subtraction work. Some are now much more confident and have been keen to challenge themselves further in their learning by tackling larger and larger numbers. Pupils have been building confidence in subtraction throughout this week which has been great to see and shows how successful they have been.

For topic, we have now moved onto learning about the 'World at War', starting with WW1, where we have been looking at the story of the poppy. We linked our learning to our artwork too and did some poppy art where the pupils created some great designs. We have also looked at the cause of WW1 and debated if this was a justifiable reason to cause a world war.  Many pupils came up with some great points in this lesson.

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
