The end of term is almost upon us and it is hard to believe that this is the final Friday message of P7! As you read this, all being well, we are currently busy enjoying an adventure day out at PGL Dalguise.

The class have had a very busy week this week. We have enjoyed online meetings with Dynamic Earth and met with Ross Mackenzie who is the award-winning author of the Nowhere Emporium series of children’s books. We have also had an in-person workshop on cyber security where the children learned all about encryption and decryption. On Thursday, we had a great time in the morning enjoying an end-of-term treat bouncing around on a giant inflatable tractor and castle!

Of course, the absolute highlight of the week has to have been the two performances of our show ‘Rock Bottom’. On Tuesday, our dress rehearsal to the school really brought out the best in our performers and the school loved all of their acting, jokes and signing. They particularly loved our inflatable dinosaur’s visit. What a performance by everybody!

And just when we thought that they had given their best performance, we were treated to an even better performance on the Wednesday evening when you joined us to enjoy the show. Mrs Watt and I were just so proud of all of the children of the whole P6/7 and P7 cohort who came together as a team to showcase their amazing talents.  I hope that you agree that they were just fabulous!

The theme of being busy continues next week too. On Monday we have a trip to the Odeon Cinema for a viewing of the new Jurassic World: Dominion movie. We will be leaving Canmore at 9.00am sharp to walk to the cinema. We will not be back at Canmore until after our normal lunchtime so please remember that your child will need a packed lunch on that day. On Tuesday, we have our Career Fair presentations. On Wednesday, during the day, we have shirt signing and our Buddy party with the P1’s. In the evening of Wednesday, we have Hide-and-Seek in the school (6.30pm until 7.30pm). And, for our very final day at Canmore Primary, we have their Leavers Assembly. What a busy week ahead! Please re-check through your messages from the school and keep an eye out for any new messages for further details of these events should you need to check specific information.

Congratulations to Neeson Scott who is this week’s Social Target winner.

I hope that you all have a wonderful weekend and that the sun shines for you and that everyone is able to get some well-earned rest. We have just four school days left of P7 and I look forward to seeing you all again at the end of the week.

However, before that I look forward to seeing you all in a few hours’ time when we return from our Dalguise adventure!

Kind regards,

Mr. Morgan.
