It has been great to see so many happy, smiling faces this week. Two groups of children have taken part in a High School Transition Event this week at Lochore Meadows Country Park where they were able to mix with pupils from Commercial PS – who could potentially be their new classmates in a few months. Two great days were had by all, although I did get very soaked by a rogue wave! I hope that you have enjoyed seeing all of the photos that were posted on Seesaw. We have one group still to go and they will attend on Monday the 30th. From the buzz around class I can tell they are so looking forward to going.

This week we have also had our second rugby session and although I wasn’t here to see it personally (I was busy getting soaked) the children have said that they really enjoyed it.

In other areas of the curriculum, we have been working on skills for the ‘World of Work’. In Numeracy we have been looking at Data Handling and in Literacy we have continued a series of lessons on preparations for employment and how to answer questions about yourself.

A quick reminder that homework is a personal project based on a career choice. All pupils should have started this and be continuing to do research ahead of making a display/presentation at a Career Fair we wish to host in class in a few weeks’ time. Children have been asked to ensure that they post images of their work in the Activities section of Seesaw so that I know they have done their work. Any work completed does not have to be handed in yet, instead it should be kept safe, ready for creating the final display board.

A quick reminder about our very busy week ahead. On Monday the photographer will be in school so full school uniform (no hoodies) and we have an additional visit next week to DHS on Wednesday to allow the children to experience a taster lesson, or two. Please can all children come in full school uniform on both Monday and Wednesday. No leavers hoodies are to be worn on the visit to DHS. Weather permitting we will have Sports Day on Thursday so children will be able to make up for missing their PE slot on the Wednesday then.

Finally, it was a lovely relaxing and fun way to end a busy week today as we all had a dress-down day. Thank you to all who joined in, especially those who came in their pyjamas!

I hope that you all have a great weekend.

Mr. Morgan.
