What an amazing last full week of term!

I’m not quite sure how the class managed to hold it all together as they were just so excited – especially for their party!  And what a fantastic party it was too. They danced, sang and laughed all afternoon long.  It was great to see so many happy and smiley faces.  I hope you smiled too when you saw them in action on Seesaw.

Prior to their party we had a STEM challenge to make good old-fashioned paper party decorations in the form of paper chains. Not wanting to miss a learning opportunity we added a competitive element to the activity to see who could make the longest chain, the best quality chain and the most creative chain too. The class were so engaged in their learning they didn’t want to stop.

In Numeracy this week, I asked the class to do some real-life problem-solving by asking them to plan a Christmas meal out to a restaurant and stay within a budget. Using a real menu from a restaurant, once again the class were so focused on achieving – or perhaps it was just all that food they were thinking about. Whatever it was, the class really enjoyed their numeracy learning this week.

A big thank you came from the P1’s too on Thursday morning as our JLT stepped up to help support the P1’s getting ready for and throughout their Nativity performance. Well done to all those that helped out.

On Tuesday, we enjoyed our second taster session for hockey and they loved it. The visiting coach commented just how skilful they were.

Only three more school days to go!

Have a lovely, relaxing and safe weekend.

Mr. Morgan.
