Christmas has well and truly arrived in P7 and it has been all go this week to get ready for the virtual school fair today.

Our main focus this week has been on enterprise. The class have spent the week creating a product to sell to you through our virtual school fair. I hope that you understand the lack of posts on Seesaw of our construction process as I was keen to give you all the wow factor when you first see their finished products. The class have worked very hard to make Christmas Wreaths for you which I hope you will all enjoy when they make their way home to you today. They have done a super job and are all very proud of their efforts.

In addition to the making of the wreaths, the class have been busy putting their learning in digital literacy, literacy and art all to good use by creating promotional material for the school fair and their own wreath.

During our literacy lessons, the class have looked at how they can use their learning on persuasive writing to create posters and write a script for their product advert. This learning extended into their digital literacy lesson where they used it to film and edit adverts. I will post these on Seesaw as they are completed if they - didn’t quite meet the deadline!

In our recent lessons on Spanish, we have combined a performance of ABBA’s song 'I have a Dream' with Christmas too. The song is sung in Spanish and it sounds so lovely that we wanted to share it with you as our Christmas message. Please look out on Seesaw for their performance – you’ll love it!

We had a visit from a hockey coach on Tuesday and thankfully, although cold, the weather was kind to us. Our second visit from the hockey coach will be thisTuesday coming. The class loved getting involved and I can already see the makings of some super hockey players.

All wreaths have been sent home today for you to look at. Should you wish to purchase the wreath, can I please request that any payments are returned to class on Monday, or early next week, in a sealed envelope with your child’s name and class marked on it.

I hope that you all have a relaxing and restful weekend ahead of the Christmas rush that seems to be getting nearer and nearer!

Mr. Morgan.
