It was so nice to see so many smiley faces back in class and hear the school come alive again with the sounds and activities of happy children. The class look so smart in their school uniform, especially with their new P7 senior pupil ties too.

Becoming the new senior pupils in the school means a step up in responsibility and the class have enthusiastically grasped that opportunity for extra responsibility by helping our newest pupils to the school. Almost everyone has been matched up to a new P1 pupil and have become their new ‘Buddies’. Can I just say how wonderful it has been to see how caring and helpful they have been when supporting our new P1’s at break and sharing their lunchtimes with them. Canmore have always been proud of how caring and supportive we are as a school community and I am very proud to report that P7 are upholding this tradition fantastically well. Well done P7!

In class we have spent the week settling back into school routines again and getting our minds back into learning mode. Even though it was a short week, there were quite a few tired and sleepy faces by the end of it as we all adjust to early rises again. That said, everyone has thoroughly enjoyed the week and they are looking forward to our P7 adventure in the year ahead.

Next week we have an Internet Safety workshop on Tuesday being delivered in class by PC Ian MCArthur from Fife Constabulary.  We also have a Health and Wellbeing workshop being delivered by Barnardos via MS TEAMS on Thursday.

Congratulations to Eva Fraser and Rebecca Fett who were this week's recipient of a Special Mention Award for their excellent attitude to learning. Well done girls!

Just a quick final note to say that our PE days this term are on a Tuesday and Wednesday. As before, the class should come to school dressed in appropriate kit on those days.

Have a lovely, safe and relaxing weekend (with hopefully a long-lie too).

Mr. Morgan.
