Today the P7 Hockey team took part in the P7 Outdoor Hockey Festival at Woodmill High School. 27 teams were entered and Canmore placed 5th.
After a 0 -1 loss in game 1 the team improved in every game.  An appreciative audience enjoyed the skill and ability shown by the players. By game 6, the Hockey on show was exciting, showing great teamwork and sportsmanship. The team recorded 4 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss.
Two new players were part of the team and they did very well. Huge shout out goes to Ellie who stepped up to take over the goalkeeper job.  She showed fantastic attitude and effort.  The top goalscorer on the day was John with 9 goals.
Thank you to all the supporters who came along to cheer you on. Ellie's mum made everyone's day when she went to buy ice lollies.
To a special group of P7 Hockey players:   Thank you for your effort since your Primary 6 year. Two gold medals and a 5th place is a fantastic achievement. I am so proud of all of  you. Keep playing this fantastic game when you go to High school.
Team: John, Harris, Lawson, Dylan, Emily, Gabrielle, Erin and Ellie.
