I can’t believe that another week has finished already!

In Literacy, we looked at Discursive Writing and have started to research some points to base arguments on. The question for discussion was: should children be limited to a maximum of 1 hour of ‘screen time’ per day in their leisure time?  I’m sure you can imagine their reaction!  Imagine their shock when they also found it really hard to find any evidence or research that backed-up their own wishes to have more ‘screen-time’. I will keep you posted on developments.

Our crystals are continuing to grow and we started to record just how big they have grown. Our largest one is over 4cm by 3cm! These will be sent home during the last week of term.

In addition to our work in Numeracy on data handling, in Digital Literacy this week, we have added to our skill-set by learning how to use Microsoft Forms. Forms allows us to create online surveys and quizzes to help us collect data, or to challenge each other to answer questions! I don’t think I have seen them so engaged for a long time.

Just a quick reminder that in Health and Wellbeing next week, Mrs Hay and myself will be covering ‘Living and Growing’ with the class.

What a performance! Well done to all of our stringed instrument players who gave a wonderful performance to the whole school at assembly. A short video clip is available on our class blog.

The week finished off on an exciting but also a sad time too. P6b is coming to an end but everyone is excited to be moving on to be the senior pupils in the school – P7’s!
On Friday, the class moved on to meet their new teacher for P7 – Mrs Forrest and Mrs Watt. They all came back more reassured and more excited for P7 than ever before.

Have a lovely weekend everyone!

Mr Morgan and P6b
