Dear parents and carers,
It has been a busy, full and fun week in Primary 6A.

We prepared and planted some flowers in our raised bed during outdoor learning. In topic, we studied the main Scottish parties’ manifestos before summarising them to voice through Chatterpix.

Our Maths and Spanish learning crossed over. We discussed the cost of clothes in Spanish, created price tags and practised asking and answering the question ‘Cuanto cuesta?’. After revising subtraction and addition through the week, we learned to set out bills, total them and work out change from specific amounts. We then practised creating bills in Excel spreadsheets.

We joined the school in giving an emotional send off to Mrs Baxter by thanking her for all her wonderful music teaching over the years and wish her all the best for a happy retirement. The choir performed ‘Thank you for the Music’, which they have been secretly practising over the last few weeks.

I hope you have an enjoyable week,
Mrs Brand
