Dear parents and carers,
It’s been a busy week in P6A.

In writing we are learning to use speech marks to introduce direct speech to our stories. Based on conversations from well-known fairy tales, we are practising using speech at the end, and the start of the sentence.

Our work on division has been based around the standard written method and many of the children are now using this to solve maths problems presented in words.

The topic work has focused on John Logie Baird and the invention of the television. We considered the various developments in design and made a timeline showing these technological changes.

The children have added colour to their hare drawings, using crayon and looking at highlights and shadows in particular. We’re researching the places of worship across different religions in RME and hope to create a display to show our findings over the next few weeks.

Kind regards,
Mrs Brand and Mrs Elvin
