It has been a productive week in P6. For enterprise we put the finishing touches to our products:  we made Christmas tree surprise and hand-dyed material which we used to create bags. The children showed skill and control especially when using the sewing machine.

In literacy, we wrote menus of our favourite meals as we learned about persuasive descriptions. The aim was to make the reader feel hungry. Prior to this, we gathered relevant adjectives by skimming and scanning cookbooks of our choice.

We have also been selecting important information to prepare for writing biographies. We took notes from written passages and videos and sorted it into chronological order, before beginning our first biography, David Attenborough.

In maths we are practising multiplying two- by two digit numbers using the standard written method.

We hope you all enjoyed the fair. Thank you, those who managed, for coming and all, for your continuous support.
Best wishes,
Mrs Brand and Mrs Elvin
