Dear parents and carers,

We’ve had a very busy week.

Our maths is based on multiplication and the children are practising standard written method of working out sums. Practising their times tables is the best thing they can do to help them with this. Some children know them off by heart, but could practise isolated times table facts to increase their speed.

In literacy we are continuing the literacy circles. We have had some interesting conversations based on the novels which cover various themes including exclusion, the highland clearances and friendships.

Our enterprise topic is well underway and the children have developed their skills in machine sewing. They have been assisting each other well and working closely with P6B in all the craft making.

In Spanish, the children can discuss dates and specifically their birthdays in sentences.

We saw some lovely items of tartan worn on St Andrew's Day, and wish you a very merry start to Advent. We look forward to seeing you next week at the Christmas Fair.

Best wishes,
Mrs Elvin and Mrs Brand
