A busy and active week with the P6/7 pupils organising and supporting the infants with their sports day. P7s helped run the event and P6s took on photography roles.

In maths we continued to explore the link between percentages, decimals and fractions and pupils all now have shown a better understanding. Next week we will look at money.

In our writing this week we have focused on punctuation, specifically punctuation, to improve our sentence structures. Pupils have been using comma, semi colon and colons to join sentences together.

We continue to explore nature and plant growth in science and have been exploring what is growing in the school grounds. In Health and Wellbeing we have looked at changes and some elements of what we can/cannot control in puberty. Next week we will explore how babies are made. This is the P6 material and all pupils will cover this as some of the P7s missed this material last year.

Our pupils have also continued their personal projects - please discuss these with your child. The personal projects are detailed pieces of research.  We will continue these for another 2 weeks to allow pupils to delve deeper into their chosen areas - lots of very interesting research being undertaken - well done everyone!

Show rehearsals are now at the costume stage. We have some costumes already but would appreciate any spare bright and colourful materials e.g pillow cases/duvets that can be cut and turned into a tabbard etc. We would also welcome any coloured thin scarfs for the dancers.  We plan to film the show on the Ipads and put together on imovie to share with you towards the end of term - pupils are working incredibly hard to learn stage direction and lines!

Next week we are hoping to get a class photo as a keepsake so may all pupils wear school uniform on Monday and Tuesday. Please note this is additional to the school photographer coming into school. There is no gym this Monday.

Enjoy the weekend - looks like it will be a sunny one!
