This week we have looked at synonyms in Grammar and transferred this into our descriptive writing. Next week, we are looking at using antonyms and will be continuing a focus on imaginative writing all term.

In Numeracy, we have started looking at place value. P6 & 7 have been working on reading and writing large numbers. We discussed the place holder and made place value mats to help us read numbers into the millions and trillions.  Next week we will look at partitioning numbers and how this helps us add and subtract.

In Art this week we have investigated Mandarin and the use of complimentary colours.

In PE our indoor Hall time is Monday 9.50 until break. This term we are looking at fitness and will try the ‘Beep’ test this Monday so please ensure you have indoor kit and suitable footwear.  This kit will come home to be washed after it is worn.  Wednesday 11.45-lunch is our outdoor gym time. Please come to school WEARING kit on your P.E days.

Our Social Target winner this week was Rebecca Gibson – well done to everyone for trying so hard to achieve this target, your efforts are appreciated.  Next week the target is “ I can make safe choices”.

We have been sharing information on SEESAW - class work is shared throughout the day so please keep checking in!
There will be no formal homework this week however pupils are reminded to improve their times tables, daily reinforcement through game play has its benefits! Also, on SEESAW there is an activity challenge set! 50 house points for completing it!  This week Earth won the most points! Well done Earth and good luck everyone next week earning points for their houses!

Enjoy the weekend
