Lots of highlights this week in a busy week of learning experiences and opportunities in our classroom.

We continue to make progress with our number work and pupils have made steady improvements with their times tables.

In our reading we are now finished Chapter 4 & 5 so please read along at home and try the questions with your child to check their developing comprehension skills.

The weather stayed fair for the class during the Hockey training with Douglas Hill on Tuesday and a wee reminder that Hockey Training is available as an after school club on Tuesdays. This

On Wednesday we welcomed The PARS tackle health team where the pupils took part in workshops that improved their awareness of a healthy lifestyle and a good amount of sleep.

Thursday we welcomed Mr Dodds from the DHS Modern Languages department who delivered a very interesting workshop on Spain and Spanish language. The children all really enjoyed learning new welcome phrases including "Hola muchachos" , "Que me cuentas" and "Que pasa?"  Mr Dodds will return regularly to build relationships and familiarity with the pupils which will help their transition to DHS come summer 2024.

Genes for Jeans day was a great success - so lovely to see the pupils dressed down and having fun whilst raising awareness.

Congratulations to Aryia Watson our social target winner for the week.

Finally, please look out for your child's christmas card design as it is home with them tonight. Some really stunning artwork! There are instructions on how to order and a request that the polywallet and original art is returned to the school once you have ordered. Therei s a box to tick to indicate if you have ordered. The school will send the originals to the printers so just a wee reminder to return these.

I look forward to seeing you all at the upcoming parents evening - please contact the school office if you still require an appointment.

Have a lovely weekend,
Please keep an eye on SEESAW for highlights of your child's learning journey.
