An incredible week of learning for P6/7!

In Science & STEM we designed, measured, sawed and completed our bug hotel ecosystms which are home with the pupils today - a terrfic opportunity to collaborate and communication with each other whilst learning about nature.

In our writing we completed our instructions and pupils learned the importance of not missing out any steps when asking a task to be completed! Next week we will look at chronological reports.

Number work focused on the questions pupils didn't understand in the pre-topic assessment on fractions of quantities.  All pupils can see the growth in their understanding as they have learned and applied new knowledge in this area. Next week we will explore percentages and decimals.

With sports day fast approaching we have been practising team skills and we look forward to the event this Thursday.

Pupils have created logins for an online reading comprehension tool
visit www.readtheory.org with your child and explore the resources. We will be completing reading quizzes online once a week in class this term.

Congratulations to Aiden Young our social target achiever this week. Next week we will be focusing on "I can work hard to achieve my best" and I already know it will be a whole class award as the pupils continue to impress me with their resilience, responsibility and respect shown to their own progress and development.

It has been a busy and creative week - so enjoy the weekend!
