Sun shining this week has meant we have been able to do lots of outdoor learning. A key highlight being our second rugby workshop! Pupils have all developed their skills whilst having fun on the field.

All pupils have made clear progress in maths reading and interpreting time and I am absolutely delighted with the progress those children who could not read an analogue face and now confidently can have made - it is so rewarding to see the magic happen!

We have focused heavily on our STEM learning and I have now applied for the class to receive their Young STEM Leader Awards. We have progressively completed STEM lessons throughout the year and the information is passed to SSERC to review and hopefully award the pupils with their Level 2 award by the summer. Please speak to your child about what they have learned about wood!

Our topic this term links all curriculum areas as we all undergo personal research skills. Our class are currently exploring The Olympics.

Our P6 pupils and our Eco Representatives have been busy with the incredible Mrs Taylor giving the planters and garden a spring makeover! Please remember P6 to have outdoor gardening clothes for Wednesday afternoons. This week they have focused on weeding and painting the playground planters. I am so impressed with what they have achieved so far. We would welcome donations of outdoor fence paintbrushes if anyone has some going spare.

Next week we welcome back the rugby coach so please remember change of footwear and dress appropriately for the weather.

Congratulations to Amelia Stag our social target winner

Fingers crossed for a sunny and relaxing weekend!
