Our focus this week has been on Scot's language and pupils have created their own comic strips using our very own Oor Wullie.  All pupils have demonstrated their willingness to develop their vocabulary and I was very impressed with the quality of the Scots Poetry recitals. Well done to everyone, especially our finalists Laima, Arthur and Emily.

In our maths, we have ensured children all understand division by single digits, and for some double digits. We will revisit this in term 4 but for now our focus will shift onto fractions, percentages and ratios.

We continue our conflict studies with a look at emotions and how symbols and colours make us feel which links very nicely to our first Mindfulness lessons using Kitbag which is a tool for discussion on emotion that will feature regularly in our class calendar.

Mrs Baxter joined us for the class ceilidh to celebrate Burns Day and the school provided a selection of scottish nibbles. We look forward to the Fife Festival of Music on Tuesday. Please let the office know if you are available to help on the day.

Congratulations to our social target winner this week - Arthur Munro.

Enjoy the weekend,
Mrs Watt
