Its Showtime!
There has been a buzz of excitement across the department as the pupils have been practising their audition scripts for the Class Show Rock Bottom. So many smiles, laughter and new dance moves as preparations begin for the summer spectacular! Good Luck everyone for the Auditions this Tuesday afternoon.

Pupils have also been focusing on instructional writing and have written leaflets about various aspects of the war including evacuation, roles in the war and memorials.  P6 have had a close look at War Medals and the memorials around the UK.  P6 pupils created their own medals and researched the symbolism of shape, size and ribbon colours - ask your child about Pip, Squeak and Wilfred.  Our P7 gained a deeper understanding of the Battle of the Atlantic and the strategies used by the Germans to cut off food and fuel supplies. This links to our lessons on rationing next week.  We will combine our topic studies on rationing with Pancake Day and will be flipping our creations Tuesday.  Pupils are invited to bring in their own toppings!!! (no nuts please)

In our angles work we have looked at constructing triangles and applied this in an ART lesson - look out for our work on SEESAW.

P7 have met with Mr Buchanan (Depute Headteacher DHS) in an MST eams meet to support transition to Dunfermline High School. There are a range of materials available to support moving from Primary to High School and we will look at these in the coming weeks.

Our 2022 Yearbook Committee have been working well together to create and design this year's exclusive edition. Finall call for baby photos please upload to SEESAW or email in ONE photo of your choice!

Next week we will be celebrating 25 years of World Book Day. with a P4-7 BOOK SWAP. This is a fun and easy way to switch out books you no longer need for one you really want to read!
Pupils are asked to bring in very good condition books they are finished with that are suitable for readers aged 9-12 Mon through to Thurs - and on Thursday which is World Book Day - take ONE home!  Any left over books will be placed into class libraries or the Upper stages library.  (the infant dept is organising something similar)

We will also be taking part in a handball taster session, after school hockey club is running and of course our own PE lessons so to keep things simple the days we have Reconnector (Monday and Fridays) will be school uniform days and the other days Gym kit please until the end of term.

Pupils have home with them flyers for Destination Judo - please look out for these in their bags.

Congratulations to Callum Sorial this week's social target winner.

Have a fantastic weekend - here's hoping its a lot less stormy!
