Welcome Back to the Wonderful Canmore P67 Class

What a wonderful sunny week!

Our class have reunited with hope, happiness and lots and lots of learning!

Our Primary 7s have begun a Transition Project with Masterton Primary School pupils researching famous Scots.  The details for this are on SEESAW so please look at this with your child. We will work on this together on MONDAY.  Our 6s have found the research interesting too.

In our Science lessons we have been exploring PLANTS and their uses.  We will be planting sunflower seeds next week and it would be helpful if you can bring a small pot (or washed out yogurt pot) to start your seed off on Monday.

Gym has been hot work in the sunshine with all pupils developing their basketball skills – a reminder please wear gym kit Mondays & Wednesdays. ( please see note about Weds)

We continue to read Goodnight Mister Tom and are following up with the movie.  Please read up to Chapter 8 if you are doing so at home.

In Maths, we have continued to work on our Measurement topic, focusing on calculating area, perimeter and will look at volume and capacity next week.

In Spanish, we have begun to work on food and drink vocabulary and will be designing our own menus next week.

We have had a wonderful Red Nose Day today, with lots of fun games and activities – please watch the SEESAW videos and giggle along with the children. Great to see everyone taking part and having fun whilst learning about this incredible charity.

We are hoping to run a maths based Easter egg hunt next week so please continue to send in your egg donations and on the Thursday/Friday we plan to watch War horse. Please let the office know if you wish your child to opt out. As the movie is long we will use both afternoons.  Pupils are welcomed to bring a small snack and drink.

Also next week Our JLT (Junior Leadership Team) are planning a whole school House Day on Wednesday 24th March'21.
Children are asked to wear a colour to represent their house

Fire- red
Air- white
Earth-green
Water-blue

On Monday we will be completing Yearbook Committee applications (club will run Friday lunchtimes) please discuss with your child if they would like considered for this - hope so!

We are going to finish this term on a happy high! I will be sending a small treat home with the pupils on Friday as a thank you from a very proud teacher.  Well done P67.

Have a relaxing weekend – may the sun continue to shine! see you Monday
