For maths this week we have started our learning on money, we have been learning to make amounts of money in different ways. We chose items from a leaflet and then made the amount in notes and coins in two ways. We also learned about the importance of sticking to a budget and we were given a budget of £100 to buy four items for a 10-year old's Christmas, we then had to work out what change we would have left.
We also started angles in maths. Children were identifying different types of angles and then designed a Christmas tree, with a variety of angles.

We were all very excited to have a S5 pupil from DHS come and teach us some Spanish. We very much enjoyed the bingo game and learned lots of phrases for greeting each other. We are looking forward to next week when we will be learning some Christmas phrases in Spanish.

Well done to our Choir pupils who went to sky to sing Christmas songs. What a wonderful experience was had by everyone. We are so proud of all the children who took part, they sang beautifully and were very respectful.

For gym we continued our Scottish Country Dancing. We started learning to dance 'The Dashing White Sergeant' with the Primary 5/6 class. We will continue our learning next week and will be joining together for gym. Please can ensure that your child has suitable indoor gym shoes on both Tuesday and Wednesday,

We have been busy this week finishing our Christmas crafts for the fayre. We made TV adverts to advertise our Christmas fayre products. These have been uploaded to Seesaw. We hope you all enjoyed attending our Christmas Fayre.

Have a great weekend,
Mrs Elvin, Mrs Forrest and P6.
