This week was themed around World Book Day!
We participated in a book swap and it was so lovely to see P6's enthusiasm for reading.
The children did a piece of writing about their favourite books, sharing their favourite parts and what valuable lesson their book taught them. They then put this information into a PowerPoint and many of the children chose to share this as a talk to the class. I loved hearing all about the wonderful books they had chosen.
P6 have also entered a competition for World Book Day: Design a National Book Token. Some incredible and creative ideas. These will be posted to Seesaw next week.
We have started a new class novel – Kay’s Anatomy. This links in perfectly with our current project, The Human Body. The children have enjoyed learning about a range of interesting, and pretty gross, facts!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, Mrs Forrest 😊
