Weekly Update

I think that the highlight of the week has to have been the Christmas Party on Tuesday.  P5, P5/6 and P6 all came together for lots of games, fun and dancing. Our Scottish Country dancing skills were put to the test and looked fabulous!  Lots of fun was also had when doing many of the Dance-a-long songs. Clips are on Seesaw.

In Numeracy, we looked at how to convert a fraction to a decimal fraction and a percentage. Our focus on learning our times tables have also proved worthwhile as the class scored well in Monday’s assessment. This week’s focus is on the 6x table with an additional quick brush-up on the 3x and4x too.

In Digital Literacy, we have been continuing to work on Code and have started looking at AR. Clips will be available at some point next week.

In Science, we have been trying to finish off our testing of our STEM Challenge baskets which were part of the ‘Squashed Tomato Challenge’. These were designed to be part of a Gravity-fed ropeway system that farmers in Nepal use to get their products to market.  There are a few clips on Seesaw of how successful they were.

We have been doing a lot of singing in class this week. As the school Nativity is next week we have been busy trying to support the P1’s by learning the songs. They are very catchy!

All-in-all, another busy week!

Have a lovely weekend everyone!
