Christmas Fair Week – Done!
What a busy week we have had getting things ready for our Christmas Fair stall. We had around 80 items ready for sale by the end of the week. Amazingly, our stall sold out within 30 minutes! The class seemed to have found a new love for making pom-poms as lots of the class have said they have been making them at home too.
At the beginning of the week we also had a visit from Fife College to introduce ‘Robot Wars’ – a Speedy STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Challenge. The class had great fun and were so engaged in their learning!
In Numeracy this week we have started looking at the Order of Operations. I could see lots of puzzled faces when I first suggested that 3 + 4 x 2 = 11 and not 14! Once the class had looked at the order that the calculations were done, they were so keen to go home and try it out on parents (sorry!).
