P6 Weekly Update.

What a frantic week it seems to have been! P6 have been very busy this week getting items ready for sale on our Christmas Fair stall.  We won’t say what we have been making as we don’t want to spoil the surprise. We have some wonderful team-minded pupils in class who quickly sorted themselves into mini production lines. We still have lots to do to finish off our items but we will get there!

In Numeracy, we have been working on division and fractions. We hope you have enjoyed seeing some of our work in our Seesaw folders. In RME, we looked at the giving of Alms to Buddhist monks and discussed how they need this kindness and generosity by local villagers to survive. In Literacy, we enjoyed writing and listening to short stories containing onomatopoeic words.

On Thursday, we had a visit from the SSPCA who brought some novel animals in with them – robot chickens! This was thoroughly enjoyed by all and the class were very engaged teaching the chickens to dance. This was a fabulous link to our Digital Literacy where we have started to learn Coding skills.

Despite their protests (I am sure they secretly love it) there were lots of smiles during PE this week.  We have started learning some Scottish Country Dancing ahead of our Christmas party on the 10th of December. The Dashing White Sergeant and the Flying Scotsman were great fun to do. If you have not already done so, please check out the clips of these dances on our Seesaw!

Have a great weekend everyone.
