Term 1 has now finished and what a busy term it was. After such a busy time, today was time for a little reflection in class. The children were asked to reflect on their learning for the entire term and it was lovely to see such a wide range of things highlighted that they have enjoyed and worked hard to achieve.

As part of this process, the class also looked back through our Seesaw blog and remembered many of the things that we have done this term. Digital Literacy and particularly photography was right up there with PowerPoint as the two most popular things we have learned about.

This week in class has been very productive. In Numeracy, we made very good progress with neat presentation. In Literacy, our listening and reading comprehension is still getting better and better. In RME, we looked at the meaning of the poses of Buddha statues. In P.E we finished off our focus on fitness and stamina with lots, and lots, and lots of running games. Our artwork is now on display in the class for our Rennie McIntosh panels as well as our very own Avril Paton inspired ‘Windows in the West’ display. In Spanish, we recorded ourselves speaking Spanish while we ordered drinks at a café. Finally, in Digital Literacy, it was our last formal lesson on taking and editing digital images – and I must say that there were a few absolutely stunning photos!

I have added the link to our blog below so that you can share their learning. The class were very proud of any examples of their work which made it into our class blog. Please take some time to look back across our blog and ask your child about what their favourite thing was. I’m a very proud teacher today seeing just how hard working and creative my class are.
