P6 update.

Once again, another busy, busy week.

In Digital Literacy, the class have continued to show a fantastic level of creativity and technical skill to take photos and edit them to a black and white image. We discussed how photography is used in many, many areas of work and how, in particular, black and white is widely used by magazines and websites. Please check out a sample of our images in our blog.

This week in Numeracy, we have been continuing to work on our Place Value knowledge. The class are now feeling much more confident and stronger in their number skills.

In Literacy, particularly in reading and listening comprehension, the class have been working on using the question as part of their answer and answering in full sentences.

Science this week has been about continuing to problem-solve and modify our K’Nex designs of baskets for our version of a gravity fed ropeway that the farmers in Nepal use to transport goods to market. We are almost ready with our baskets and soon we will be trying the dreaded ‘drop-test’ to see how much protection they provide the tomatoes.

In other news, our class won ‘Class of the Week’ and we will be enjoying some additional break-time next week as a reward. Hopefully, the weather will be kind to us. Have a lovely weekend and enjoy the forecasted good weather while you can; it’s not meant to last after the weekend!

Please take a few minutes to look through our class blog. The link is below.

I’m looking forward to meeting with some of you next week at our first Parent Contact on Wednesday. Just a quick reminder that jotters and homework should be returned on Monday.

Have a great weekend everyone.
