Another busy week comes to a close. P5/6 have been very busy this week in a number of areas.
In literacy, we have been looking at how to set out and structure an informal letter. We all had a good giggle at how to keep our salutations friendly!
In numeracy, the class have really powered through a lot of work on subtraction. Keeping their work neat and tidy has really paid off and the class are now much more confident in their abilities. I even heard a few say “Yes! We are doing more subtraction!” which is not something you often hear!
The class have started looking at how fossil fuels are made and how coal is extracted. We looked at how coal mines worked in the past and many of the class were horrified to see that animals and young children were put to work down the mines!
In art, we have begun to look at the work of the artist Andy Warhol. We have started to create our own versions of his artwork which we will post to Seesaw when complete.
I hope that you all have a wonderful and safe weekend.
