Today our Reconnector was all about being safe and we watched a clip about making safe choices online on platforms that are age appropriate. We also watched a clip about Road Safety as sometimes we can be distracted by phones or listening to music that we don't give the correct care and attention to our surroundings. Can I remind parents that the age for most online platforms is 13 but sadly we are often having to spend time dealing with issues created by children accessing these outwith school and this is not acceptable. Please ensure if you feel your child is mature and responsible enough to use social media that you are aware of what they are sending. Our Social target has been 'I can make good choices to keep me safe' and our achievers this week were Riley Smith, Charlotte Wright, Zack Donachie, Ben Cochrane and Jack Allday, well done!
Our Social Target next week will be 'I can approach the remainder of term with a positive mindset'. We are very proud as we learned today that we raised £700 for Macmillan last week and we are awaiting a total from our Race for Life run on the field.
We hope everyone has a lovely weekend and is ready for our last week of Term 1 and finding out who the Winning House will be on Friday for the end of term treat organised by the JLT.
